McMenamins Anderson School used to be Bothell Junior High School. Now it is a 5.4-acre campus with 72 guest rooms, 4 restaurants, 8 fire pits, a first-run movie theater, full-sized indoor swimming pool, and the smallest freestanding bar in Washington.
It is also the home of The Worst Day of the Year Run.
January 4th is both the coldest and wettest day in Washington history.....the perfect day for a run!
Grab your friends, recycle your Halloween costume, and come laugh in the face of Father Winter. There will be plenty of steaming homemade soups, and fresh dinner rolls at the finish.....and then a delicious microbrew or three.
SAVE THE PLANET:
Just by participating in The Worst Day of the Year Run you are helping the environment. For every runner, we'll plant a tree.
Founded in 1992 by singer John Denver, our environmental partner, Plant-It 2020, is the leader in sustainable, global reforestation. They subscribe to the Tree Planting Code of Ethics which assures care from planting to maturity, in no-logging areas.
Our contributions will plant trees in equatorial rain forests, where the plants grow largest and offset the most carbon dioxide.
